If you play classic, you should really play with me...im a god on classic
Diablo 2 LOD i play freakin awsome
1.10 ruined a perfectly good game. I'm thankful, because I'd probably still be addicted if it never was patched.
Account name, Wolf? And Dondon, no offence, but your statement was utterly idiotic. 1.10 didn't ruin a great game, it made a great game thousands of times better. In .09, Bnet was ripe with hacked and bugged items, it looked more like open then closed. The addition of 1.10 not only purged these problems but also made the game alot more difficult. The addition of synergies and crazy runewords to me, made the game alot better. Anyway, we could argue about it sometime, i'd thouroughly enjoy that.
Anyone else play? East Ladder LOD

Ya know it's funny, since the internet at my apartment hasn't been working I've been playing Diablo 1 lately... I tried playing a Druid in LoD but I got bored kinda fast
Yeah Druid is the most boring class, IMO. Actually, kinda tied with Necro.
And I'd have to agree with Dondon, 1.10 was the patch that made me get off D2:LoD because it screwed everything up for me.

what hapenned JUST before the insertion of 1.10 with the excessive duping in 1.09 screwed up my wealth. Then when I took a look at 1.10 and saw synergies..I realized my character builds also had been screwed up so I stopped playing for 2 years. I started playing again a few months ago in 1.11b. Honestly, I got used to synergies, but there are some things they "fixed" that made duelling so much more boring. (notice im talking about classic here because xpac is for noobs...everything is WAY too easy there)
There are also things that need to be fixed and which arent...but nonetheless, I still got addicted to D2 again.

As a player of every patch post 1.02, I can say that 1.10 was a great addition to the game. Synergies open up so many more class options.
How can you say Druids are boring? You should try a flaming boulder druid. :)

Yes, synergies was a great addition.
However, it severely screwed up my ~24 characters or so that took forever to build and level. And let me tell you, characters like hammeradins, singing barbs, elemental absorb barbs and the likes take a really LONG time to level.
Plus it ruined the entire economy IMO. It took me 3 years to get my "wealth" to be....middle class or so. Come 1.10 that wealth went down the drain. The rich people who could afford all those great MF items found the new items that were worth a lot. The poor and middle class people were left with nothing, due to the fact that the majority of these new items only drops from high level Hell monsters. Basically the classic story of the rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer.
I played D2 again though, later on in university, but single player only lol. Made it to Nightmare, then it got boring without other people.

Hey DF, the name is "Ladder". I re-level my high level chars every season ;)
I have been playing on a modded realm lately, it is fun as they added a bunch of items and such and try and took the best of all the patches.

1.09 was perfect. The game basically ran itself. If you put a few days of good, solid play in, you could have a good character and gain wealth (on West, hexes) easily. I would say, in terms of wealth, I was upper middle class (using Delta's idea:P) or upper class. I could afford what I wanted and could build a new dueling character in a few hours if I wanted. I built up tons of characters that were exceptionally strong using character builds that were around for many years. Then 1.10 came and suddenly I found myself poor (aside from my extensive collection of unid uniques and sets, which I found with my..err..own two hands...yes...) and with essentially worthless (skillwise) characters. I was left with two choices: liquidate my mules and buy new gear and start a new account in a game I knew instantly I did not like the direction of, or quit. I chose the latter and gave tons of stuff away to a guy who I believe quit playing a few months later.:(
True, I might have liked 1.10 better if I had been a noob through 1.09 or had just started playing, but that wasn't the case. What pissed me off most was not that I lost my wealth (that was mostly my fault since I refused to believe 1.10 was coming soon, so I never traded my hexes for unduped gear), but that my characters that I had worked on for so long were worthless.
1.10+ is not harder. The Cow Level (so fun:D) was replaced with Bloody Foothill and Baal runs. Nothing changed.

Why do you play Ladder Cid? O_o
Because I don't like a craprain of dupes and bugged items...?
I had the same problem, my elite characters were crap once the patch came out. But I didn't cry like a little schoolgirl, I thought it was exciting to have some change to the repetetive blandness my d2 experience had turned into. Which it re-visits after you've been playing awhile) Anyway, the ladder brings everyone down to nothing. If you're skilled at trading and such it can be pretty easy to build wealth. I did quit d2 eventually, following the "class" thing, i'd say I was upper-upper when I left. 3 years later just decided to give it a whirl, and it's been pretty fun.
There weren't that many dupes and bugged items on East when I played....and any that existed got basically eliminated once 1.10 was introduced.

And shame on you dondon for using hax0rzed items. :p ^_^
If I didn't, I wouldn't have been able to trade. It's lucky West had such a good currency system that didn't involved a findable item. Plus the currency also made your character super powerful.=)
I like to play single-player on this sweet mod. It makes the game hella different since they increased dificulty and changed the skill trees. In Normal, I'm always a Barb.. in the mod I'm always a Paladin.
Dondon: What was the currency? 3/20/20 was findable, I dont know any other NL currency
I just started playing again with some friends. It's been a long while and I'm not even sure what character class to build now.
I played pre 1.10 like many of you when I left. I wasn't every wealthy, at the height of my wealth I had 1 mule completely full of SOJ's and one with two unidentified WF's.
I used a mephbot every night and was able to gain 5ish SOJ's a night by selling Occy's and the few other valuable items that Meph would drop. I tried doing a Pindlebot a few times in hopes that I would get an ultra rare item or rune, but got frustrated easily when I would wake up to find I had little in my inventory worth anything at all and quickly went back to using a mephbot.
The economy was pretty loaded then. Very easy for anyone to aquire anything, unless it was an ultra rare that Meph/Diablo/Ball couldn't drop. Are SOJ's still used as a common form of currency or has it evolved into some new item?

SOJs are actually worth something now.
Currency at least at East are runes and... d2jsp fg.

i quit after 1.10 cuz i went back to school and didnt have time.
now i would be a lvl 1 beginner again xD i still have it all somewhere

3/20/20's are findable, but VERY rare. Most of them were dupes anyways. :p
I've never found a SOJ, surprisingly. Come to think of it, I never found a Gull either. The most valuable thing I've ever found was probably a 273 (I think that was the number) spc. Traded it for 2 3/20/20's, I think I got ripped off.
I was a PGem trader at the height of my "wealth". :

Man!!!!!!! Arent any of you playing classic?
It took me nearly 3 years to build 4 mule accounts + my main one on classic while it took me 2-3 months to get rich on xpac...find the mistake?
Besides, what fun is there to know what you find before identifying it? At least, on classic, finding good rare items is difficult, characters are not overpowered due to the excessive statistics from xpac uniques/sets, reaching 92 takes 3 weeks instead of 2 hours and duel actually require skills instead of items.

If you thought you were rich in 2-3 months... You weren't =]
I think I found 1 SOJ in the however many years I played. They were worthless once I started playing for real, so I never experienced "soj soj soj." I found a Gull in Act1/Normal after about 5 runs with my Sorc. It's pointless when you have a 6 Ist blade, though. Even Occy with Ist is a better choice, combat-wise.
US West used "Hexing Small Charm of Immolation Arrow"'s as currency. They were a level 70 (42 for 'zons) SC which gave 90 Str, 90 Dex, 90 Vit (some gave 90 Mana instead, but I never bothered with them). All rich duelers had 40 and all rich PVM'ers had 32 (or 36 and a cube, but I never liked having to quickly open your inventory to grab an item).
Unid Shako = 1 hex
Unid Shaftstop = 1
Unid GF = 8ish
Ist = 2-3
Unid Skullders = 1
Unid Storm = 1
Unid WF = 20
That was accurate when I was trading heavily. If you wanted to trade, you had to have hexes. Nobody wanted to trade items for items because everyone had a different idea of what their item was worth in other items. Hexes, on the other hand, had an unspoken worth.
I ran a Meph bot if I wanted an almost guaranteed haul for a session, and a Pindle bot if I wanted a TC 81 or higher item, like Windforce. I found so many Shaftstops, Shakos, and Stormshields from Meph... Pindle didn't give me many high TC items, but I did find a WF the first night I ran it.=) That was the biggest item I ever found, but Meph easily gave me more hexes, when counting values. I didn't sell that much stuff; I preferred to mule it. I had my 40 hexes that I shifted around, usually having 4 on my Sorc (so I could ditch the White Rings, which absorbed 95% of each element...lol, for dual Constricting rings=)) and the rest on my dueling Amazon (I later transfered the whole 40 to my new Amazon I was building at the time 1.10 came; it was level 9 in Act4/NM when I got pwned by Ruststorm). Anyway, I had tons of mule accounts which were worth a lot of RL money. I should have eBayed my stuff.:(
@ Sal:
How can you stand classic with its small stash?! If I had to choose one, and only one, LOD feature to stay, it'd be the stash.:P

LC, i had all the prepatch bugged items that e-bayers all bought in xpac. To get rich, I did just like dondon...u run bots while you go to work/school/bed and you're rich.
I found that so boring..
@ dondon
If you dont like the classic stash, make more mules :P

2 hours to reach clvl 92 Sal? Well you obviously didn't play LoD very long then.
And the reason it's easier to get rich in LoD is merely due to the larger population of players, not because of the game design itself.

Sal, I wish I could still bot =[
No, Delta, that's wrong. It's easier because of Pindle and Meph and because of uniques. IIRC, the big value items in classic are rares.
Now here's how MF works.
You have your percentage. Let's say it's 1000%. That's a 1000% boost to the magical item finding chance. It's like 500% to rares, 300% to sets, and 250% to uniques. So that's a half chance of finding a unique to a rare. A lot? Not really.
The item type (i.e., short sword, short bow, hydra bow) that drops is not determined by your MF. You can have all the MF in the world and still find crap; it'll just be unique, set, or rare much more often. Anyway, you go and pwn Meph for the 845th time and you find a Russet Armor. Your MF then determines what quality it is. Your wearing that perfect pair of War Traveler boots paid off, and you get a unique.
But say it was classic and somehow you had enough MF even without the cool uniques that give so much. Since there's no set or unique, you get the rare. So that's good, you got a rare, which is the best the item type of russet armor has in classic. But with rares, the mods are random. It turns out it gives 5 AR, 2 defense, 7% gold find, and 1 mana. F***ing win! Do that 20 more times and, even though you're finding rares, you're getting crap. Have all the MF you want; it won't help with rares. You may get a bigger boost for rares than uniques with a lot of MF, but they're still crap 99% of the time.
LOD has uniques of exceptional and elite items, which are worth a lot. They are so much better than rares and are usually always good. Sure, a perfect is still much better, but a flawed unique still has most of its properties, just not as strong.
I hope I made myself clear.:P

I know very well how MF works, despite the fact that my characters were never strong enough to tackle Hell Meph. *Sighs* I had 2 MF sorcs and an MF barb. Even had a barb hirling with MF gear. Even toyed with the idea of creating an MF javazon.
But you have to remember that in classic, these "crap" items as you call them are worth a lot. :p You may run meph 50 times, find 10 rare items, but probably 1 or 2 in them may be worth keeping.

Lols, when i played my 850MF( or close to it)frozen orb sorc pwned hell meth. Only thing she couldnt take solo was Baal.
Yeah frozen orb was fun & pwned. Soon as sygeries came out, I tried it but couldn't reach even 1/3rd of the output of a blizzard build. Had to delete & remake but blizzard wasn't for me, remade fire but everything in hell is fireresist.
Ended up with hammerdin. Which statisied my pvp/mfing/rushing/runs all in 1 character.
What I do hate though is, everytime I go back to try diablo2 my account is deleted do to the 3 month thing. Oh well starting over is not too bad.
I have played the season before this but not this ladder season. I will play one of these days.

If it was Hell Meph alone then yeah my sorc PROBABLY could've taken him on.
It was those damn Council Members who always got me >_< Even if I teleport really fast to get across the blood moat, they still come running around to get me, or if not they spawn those fire spitting thingies, forgot what they're called.

Thank you dondon!
Also...baal runs = 7-10x the exp of Hell cs runs... + ubers... xpac is very easy to lvl
Also, you dont find a good rare every 20 runs...no no...its more like 1 out of 50-75 WITH GOOD MF and lvl 89 + (because clvl + mlvl affects the item quality and lvl) and STILL that item is not REALLY good...
anyways...another point about xpac... CHARMS! classic doesnt have that. You dont get lvl 40 + skills, you dont get teleport on every freakin class and battle orders on every class...how gay is that? It makes everything so overpowered. What fun is there to have absolutely no challenge vs monsters and to fight ppl in duels who either heal from your attacks or die in half a mili second? Whhat HAND skills are you using for that?
I've had some of my friends convert their ladder char to xpac before the ladder reset just to duel xpac ppl with classic chars.
I converted some random hell mule and went to see. My din's friend owned everyone in the game. Why? Because no one even knows what the hell is "clagging" in xpac.
anyways...i wont go further.

Hell Meph was weak, even without absorbing all his attacks.=) My level 90-something Sorc (Nova/Orb/TS; pretty standard) could take anything in the game except something immune to cold and lighting.
BO and teleport on every class? That's the gay 1.10 skill sharing crap. Barbs getting shape shift...like they need any help with melee. Charms were good, but not overpowered like that. That Anubis charm or whatever it's called is ridiculous. +2 to all skills in a SC?! At least the skill GC's took up 3 squares and only gave points to one tree. I found maybe a few dozen throughout my entire D2 career; they're rare. Fewer still are for anything good. I swear I found more for stuff like the zon's passive tree or for the Necro's bone skills than I did for Sorc, Barb, and Paladin combined.

Man all this talk is making me nostalgic.
If anyone is willing, I propose an NN party of brand new chars. :D No trading with anyone outside the party and no mueling or anythig over from your other chars.
I propose this because....our old SC party seems to have disbanded. :( So, why not D2?
Oh, and I propose Expansion. :p

And they nerfed nova before i left.
As for the counsel members...i killed them before i fought meth, makes it easier.
And my sorc owned hell Ba'al, it was getting past his minions that kinda sucked.

Blizzard+Moat Trick ftw.
Well we could do classic just to appease that nub named Sal, if others won't mind. Though I personally think that classic is lawl lawl boring.
lawl lawl boring or EWW WHY DO I GET SAT IN DUEL GAMES WHEN I GOT ALL ZE BEST UNIQUE ITEMS!! I DUN UNDERSTAND! iz so wierd!
Another funny thing...you guys really get owned by hell meph? Classic chars sit hell mf with ease. You just need to know the attack patterns and you flawless him like he was some random monster.
hum..I propose anyone who thinks classic is ez makes a few chars to get some gear and if any of you beats me in a duel, even 7vs1, i'll give away all my gear and go play xpac.

zzzz hell meph is ez I dont even moat him anymore.
And classic has a little problem: it takes motherfacking ages to get the top of the line items. Screw that. I love the HR dupers.

I'd be up for a reg or expansion group with new characters, it could be fun
WTF is moating? I've never heard of that, but I assume it's a trick to avoid the cold ball. Noobs, get resistance!
I almost feel like playing D2 again, but I don't quite have the desire to find the CD and go through the irritating install ("Please insert install disc to being installation but right after you insert it, you gotta insert play disc. Once you're done and go to install LOD, you have to swap more discs because apparently the movies and speech files are super important to playing.").

And DONDON GO FIND YOUR STUPID DISC!! Please? :)

I've got the images of all D2 and D2X disks.
If someone could hook me up with a spare CD key for either it'd be super sweet. I'd definitely be down for playing again.
I -can- go buy the game again, but I'd really rather not if I don't have to. I've bought this game at least four times by now.

I lost 3 sets of cd keys when my fileserver decided to burst into flames :<
I also bought the game like 4x. Managed to get the keys back though.

For those who don't know Moating is a trick blizzard (and meter) sorcs use to basically not get him by him at all. While having him remain in your blizzard/meteor basically killing him in seconds.
Hasnt there been a study on how many times the average d2 player bought the game? I think it was like 2-3 per user...lol
I bought the games 1 time. Still have my cd keys, but im missing my cds :(
sweet! my computer is out of commission at the moment, but I'll let ya know when I've got it back lol
I got the game once, but I didn't buy it. My LoD disc is incredibly scratched (don't lend discs to anybody ever under any circumstances...), but it still works. Unfortunately, my D2 installer discs don't, for some reason. I tried yesterday to install it, but it wouldn't work. I have to download some disc images if I want to install.
I finished downloading the ISO for the game a few days ago and got a CD-key from a friend but it's kind of confusing to play. Finding games to play is kind of lame too. Keep in mind it's my very first time playing so I'm clueless about everything. I'm playing ladder expansion, I think it was. Give me a shout or add me to F list I don't play that much because it's kind of boring for me right now but if I'm on say hi.
It's extremely easy to pick up. It's probably the most basic almost-MMORPG around. There are only 30 spells (per character), and you can only use one at a time, etc. It's not even as hard as Fallout (which reminds me, I need to install that again.:D Best game ever). You should start with a Barbarian, since it is the most straight forward to play.
Play until at least Act 5 so that you can learn how to deal with various types of monsters and get a feel for how to play efficiently. Once you've done that, you can make a new character if you think you've screwed some stuff up (like adding energy points to a Barb!). I strongly encourage you to play though the game fully (normal A1 to Hell A5) at least once. I never did that and as a result, I was a noob for longer than I would have liked.:P
You should also post your realm and account name.;)
It should say "Play until at least Act 5 NORMAL."
A broken character will have a lot of difficulty in Hell depending on how badly you screwed up.
As for the playing the game through thing...
You can be "rushed" though the game in about 30 minutes by a high level character. This is basically you making a game and having them kill all the Act Bosses. It might sound cheap, but its use becomes evident once you start making multiple characters. Playing through the game becomes very boring very fast, and it also forces you to make a character that can play through, meaning you have to invest in worthless "low level" skills to make it. These skills are worthless later on, so it's seen as a waste to invest in them.

I started d2 with singleplayer with a Frozen Arrow zon (hah!) and actually ended it! o.o
I made a Sorceress just because I really liked Sorcerer in Diablo 1. Right now I'm level 23 I think and I just finished Act 2 tonight. I went Fireball as my main spell which kind of hurts when trying to solo the end bosses of acts lol. Well, the 2nd Act boss at least. The first one was cake to solo. The 2nd Act one 2 shots my mercenary then 2 shots me and I only have level 1 frost nova to slow and if he's in range for that he's in range to hit =.= Not enough room to teleport or run around kiting him with speed either. I got him down after like 10 deaths I think lols. Fireball is level 10 and I'm working my way down Cold for Frozen Orb now to have 2 schools. I'm playing on East and names Elmy.
I made a sorceress as I was starting D2 and god I was so horrible... I put like 1 point in every spell lol xD
lol my first character was a holy fire pally.... it was pretty 1337 until level 30....
My first char was a Necro that focused on using Teeth of all stupid spells.
Works well in Normal, single player, but not in multiplayer I found lol.

K, so I got ahold of a legit key for both original and xpac. If anyone was serious about a NN D2 get-together, I'm in. I hate playing without people I know though, and I honestly have no idea what I'm doing since synergies have been introduced and my old favorite character molds are pretty much worthless now (orb/ts sorc)
Elm, where did you get the lod iso at? I found my d2 cds and key. Found my lod key...just cant find my lod disk.....
Hell if I remember. It took like 2-3 weeks to download from the torrent.
Dang :(
Dang :(
torrentspy.com?
Guilda I can set up a personal FTP for you so you can download a copy of my D2X ISO.
I'm actually having problems..My D2 install disk iso is corrupt and I have no idea where the original disk is. Probably going to have to wait for a friend to let me make a copy of theirs.

That would be awesome, id be up for a d2 lod nn bonanza. =D
awww...you guys dont even wanna play classic with me :(
Haha, poor sal. :p That stash is just too small. :O
Cid gave me a rush yesterday until act 5, pwnage. :D
Then I leveled with a group of people who....didn't speak much. So I went kinda solo, very boring that way. :p Need more NN peeople! :D
I'm currently a lvl 6 sorc (No fun until lvl 20+) on USEast. If you can't guess my account name than you're a nub.

See if you would've been on classic, i would've rushed you to act 4 hell then make you lvl 25 and then boost you to 50 easy ;)
The only three characters worth having IMO are sorc, barb, and zon.
So about that personal ftp? =P
And necros are/were pretty good to have around in certain areas. ;]

I've already got it set up Guilda. You can't use it right now though because I'm having a friend send me the ISO for the install disk. I'll send you the address once I'm done.
I think it takes like 3-4 hours total transfer time. Seems like forever, but much better than the weeklong torrent transfers.
You only need the expansion disk, right?

Yup, ive got the original d2 disks still..somehow...no idea where the lod disk vanished. And ill take a 3-4 hour transfer over a week long one any day.
Actually...when well built, necros are pretty much the best duellers along with the hdin. (classic)
Alright, I play on east. Username is PrimalVamphunt! (I've got an illy ;o) As of right now I'm barbing it.
Guilda, I'm going to send you a link to the FTP address tonight before I go to bed so that it doesn't hog all my bandwidth.

Wow Shadowsguy is a noob =p
lies ;D
Yeah..in classic..not in xpac tho!
Cid..since you seem to be the most active player, I'm gonna wait until i talk to you before I put any skill points into anything.
Right now I'm just running around smacking things in Act II.
Character name is "Shadowsguy", account name is "Primalvamphunt!"
Right now it's a softcore ladder barb on east.
I'd really love to play hardcore eventually. That's fun as hell. Nerve racking, but fun.

Necros...LOL. I had a Shaftstop/Gaze Necro (so I could survive being hit...) and it still died because it couldn't kill anything. CE was OK, but it took a lot of time to down 1 cow with BS, herd the rest back around the corpse, blow it, kill the weakest cow with BS, blow it, and finally have some fun.:D Totally inefficient. If I got surrounded, I could get block locked by almost anything.
Whoever said their first Sorc sucked:
We all make mistakes with Sorcs. I made a fire Sorc once, and invested in something stupid like Meteor. Not a bad MF skill, but it's irritating for general PvM.
Hardcore was so fun. I had a level 60ish Barb in NM Act 5. My gear was crap, which was what made it fun. Rather than having the choice between a Shaft and a Valor for my Barb, I would choose between some crap Exceptional Set or a rare. When I got bored of HC (or, rather, engrossed in MF'ing SC), I had almost enough stuff to trade for a Shaftstop, which would have meant I could relax on the Escape key.;) My friend also gave me his old level 70ish Amazon, which I used with D2Hackit's arrow->portal->hostile script. Hilarious! I wish I could have had access to a good Amazon I could caused some real havoc.=)

Necro with shaftstop and gaze lololololololololololo
When i played it was b-golem and...thorns..maybe? not sure what curse exactly...
Did you try a Necro ever? I also had Trang's armor and a Shako as backup. To be honest, I didn't care enough to find a good setup because a Necro could never do anything in .09. Just like an elemental Druid.
It's amazing how many people will hit on you on B-Net when they think you're a girl.
Then other guys will start hitting on you too, and the first guys will start laying the verbal waste on the others saying that he saw me first....then it gets into a large insult trading game.
Oh, and you also get added to random people's friends lists. :o
What's more funny is when one of them says "Imagine if she was really a guy, hahaha!" and they all share a laugh together. :p

It's like that on any game.
Ummm...in I don't see guys hitting on me and mistaking me for a girl in Enemy Territory....
Started a barb..spent 2 hours soloing, lvl 10 and in act 2.
Online, guild?
PvM necro with BS? LOLOLOLOL
If you wanted a pvm nec for cows, there's nothing easier. Metal/blood golem + iron maiden, then once a cow dies, switch to amp, then CE. duh!
BS necs are for duels. In classic they're still great, back before that xpac EVERYONE GETS TELEPORT armor, it was owning too.

Sal called it, iron maiden was the spell i was thinking about it. It used to be one of the best combos for necros.

Sal... BS necros are still very powerful at xpac...
Iron maiden vs BS... Lol. It still takes hours to kill a cow because they have such low damage and such high health at 8 players. Level 20 BS does like 300 damage according to a site I just checked. F'ing LOL.
Even if IM returned 100000% damage and CE had a 200m radius, an Amazon could still kill faster.

Obviously you never PVMed with a necro in 1.09
It killed nearly as fast as a java zon or a bow zon with a stacker din.
Also, bone spirits dmg with unoverpowered + skills and proper synergies can do 2500 dmg. Get tmc or fastmode, go duel, bone prison someone and own him with BS, its fun :)

Its pretty cool watching characters killing themselves. =)

Killing themselves? If you're talking about my pvp necro build, ill gather some screenshots of me owning games. That should show you it works ;)
haha sal uses tmc
Lols, i was thinking bone wall and IM. ;/
Oh yea that :)
From time to time, barbs die to "An Evil Force" rather than my nec, so they lose exp...ahah :)
I try my best to make them leave naked. That way they dont get any exp back! rawr!
And yea cid, I use tmc..it gives me 40 extra fast cast so i dont need to rely on fcr rings and ammy. Shard does it.

In all the dueling games I ever played in, I only saw like two Necros and I don't recall them doing anything. Nobody would be stupid enough to duel someone using IM with melee attacks anyway. A ranged attack or Berzerk (Barb) will foil IM. Why do you think nobody WW's through those knights in CS?
I have never seen a Necro do s*** and I played a lot of D2.

Apparently necros have been un-nerfed. They're all over the place now. PvPing, PvMing, all three difficulties.
When ever i play D2, im in game name :NetNexus password: chucksucks
no lvl caps, max playes 4 thats how i roll.
no lvl caps, max playes 4 thats how i roll.
Actually, necros have been nurfed even more. IM has a much weaker effect in duels now.
The reason why necros are good in pvp now is simply because akara sells mana potions. Necros need ALOT of mana to actually be very good in pvp. So that's probably why you havent seen necros own duels back before 1.10.

Lol mana. It'd be cool if there was a PvP mode which limited stuff like stamina and FRW (so the server doesn't desync) but made mana unlimited. Oh, and disabled potion drinking.;)
BS necros are still pwnage against pretty much almsot anyone.
Here's me raping D2 games. (I am CM-xZ)

Just as I remember D2...devoid of any proper English.
LOL @ Dondon. :p
That's ok, he's Quebecois
He was actually referring to the stupidness of most D2 users lol...I dont talk in my screenshots, but they're in french :)
Guilda, I believe shadows sent you the ISO? O_o
Do you play now? ^_^
And shadows appears to have gone MIA. O_o

D2 users are still a step above Starcraft users.
Yeah I've gone MIA. I started my new job and the girlfriend hijacked my home PC.
Got any useful items left on your chars? ^_^ Or tradeable items...? :o

Im not planning on playing d2 for pvp so hacks dont bother me...
Also...i dont have a choice, i was caught using a maphack. :(

Even if you're not playing for pvp...you're missing out on the whole trading/magic finding part of d2...the whole "lets play together and do some quests or lvl up" part.
Ah I tried to reinstall D2. My LOD CD stops the installation at about half way. So I'm stuck with classic. I guess I just wont play at all unless I pick up a ISO
Open was awesome. I had a level 2 million+ Assassin that could kill basically everything.:P
Open in 1.10 is ridiculous. Everyone is an invici-Sorc
Here's a funny screenshot. These guys said I wouldnt be able to take them 3vs1 because I was a "noob".

Shame on you for NK. :p
LOL! I nk ppl who talk trash :D its fun!
Drop items on their corpses and pop them when they pick them up!
Does that trick still work?
I noticed that you now can have "multiple corpses".
I noticed that you now can have "multiple corpses".
Again, D2 caters to people too stupid to tell their corpse from quilted armor...
Yea..U can lose items now if u die twice with gear on 2 different bodies.
I started a summoner necro on single player. I believe he's lvl 6 now....
I'll play that char on Open with someone if they want. :p I know summoners aren't the most famous though.

And in duels when you're frantically clicking around to dodge that WW barb who's trying to NK you, it's not surprising that people often accidentally click on an item instead of their body.
I had a summoner in SP. 25 skeletons and they couldn't even kill stuff in Act 5 normal.
That's 1.09 you speak of.
I was able to solo act 5 NM in full games (They were questing and I was off doing something else) with skellies and a clay golem. :)
Havn't gotten to Hell yet, want to level a bit more first, though I don't think I'll get to it. I created a new Werebear...don't think I'll finish building him either, school starts in a week or so. :p
