I have just finshed reading it...

It was boring, almost the worst of the series. They did a book of 6-- pages with something that could have taken ... 300-400 pages. I'm quite disapointed.

Please no spoilers here. Thanks

I liked it, i thought rowlings pulled all the plotlines together, there was only one thing that i thought was left out, and that involves harry's aunt, uncle, and cousin.

Loads of loose ends... but she triedi guess, it was an okay book though as Dondon said, predictable

It ok, but really to different from the original style of Harry Potter.

In my opinion it lack all the ''sideline stories'' that the other books had, like Quiditch or interaction in classes.

It is still worth a 8.5/10

That much 0.o

I would have given something like... 6.5/10

Half-Blood prince and Order desired 8/10 and 8.5/10

Well, I did read it in less then 48 hours, so it is good, up to a point.

There was some thing that happen in te book wich i did not expect, like the location of the wand and what happen with snape. It did help it grade.

But it is no where close to the 11 or 12/10 that the 3th, The Prisoner of Azkaban got

haha good, you just over rate all the others =P So it comes to the same.

Lets just say that the whole thing between Harry, Hermione and Ron was too long.
And the solution coming out of nowhere, just popping up. "Oh I'm stuck, lets wait... oh magic! solution arrives out of nowhere"

It remains good, but weren't you disapointed?

HUm

as I said, no side lines give a long, one strait way storie. Not too bad, but it could have been better.

The very last battle left me on my hunger, kind of too simple.

Also the very last chapter is missing information.

It always depend of how severe you want to be in judging it.

Personnaly, it seems like it was written to be adpated for a movie...

The last chapter will be the only good movie of the last 4 tomes of Harry Potter since their will be not too much to cut.

Its funny you like #3 the best...Its the second worst imo, after chamber of secrets.

I honestly dont think there were alot of loose ends left, there were a few unexplained things, but if you use some common sense you will see that rowlings *did* leave an explaination for almost everything.

She even added in tons of history to help us better understand some of the characters. And as for the final fight...You cant just consider the paragraphs where theyre fighting as the fight..the fight extends from the moment harry gets to hogwarts until he faces voldemort, a good...2 chaphters worth.

Since we're ranking stuff...

(Relative, of course.)

4
3
6
7
5
1
2

2's plot was bad and so much of it was filler. 1 was good the first read but subsequent reads it's too "x =, y=" etc. Too much explaining, not enough content. 5 was not bad, but it's been so long since it came out I forgot what happened. 7, well, it's quite good, and the top 4 are essentially equal. 6 had a great end. 3 was the best of the short books and wasn't a silly "let's try and kill teh bad guy and fail again" plot. 4 was easily the best plot and I think it was the longest book.

Maybe I have a dark side or something, but I tend to enjoy the books where important characters die off. It grabs my attention and makes me want to keep reading, which is really what I judge a book by. It went from a "whoa rowling actually offed someone" in book 4, to "whoa she's starting to kill off important characters" in 5, and "WHOA I CAN'T BELIEVE SHE KILLED THAT PERSON OFF" in 6, and then book 7..Well, you know if you've read it.

The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd all pailed in comparison to the last three IMO.

The seventh was my favorite by far..

but DAMN they dragged certain parts of it out way longer than needed. The whole time they were in the woods I kept thinking "Is anything of substance going to happen or am I going to have to read the same story in a different camp for the next 200 pages?"

Aside from that, and a lack of sideplots, I absolutely loved the ending. I had expected the ending to be "Ok Voldemort, you and me, battle to the death with no other people involved" where Harry miraculously pulls a victory out of his ass again right before he's defeated, just like books 1, 2, 4, and 5. I had also expected Snape to play a much larger part in this book than he did, especially the ending. So the ending did catch me a little by surprise.

The epilogue was dumb though. Really really dumb. After the amazing ending chapters, to dampen it down with 4-5 pages of unnecessary and irrelevant crap kinda ticked me off.

I liked the end. She ties up the part about what happens after everything. I thought it was needed.

Perhaps 4 is popular because it was the first 700ish page book and it also was much darker than the previous three.
