I'm unbiased, as I'm a supporter of a non-partisan government, added to the fact that I'm not a US citizen. I'd like to hear who you are going to (or would, if you're not) vote for, and why. With that said, here's my opinion based on the facts.

McCain made a lethal choice in Sarah Palin. Barack picked a great time to run as president, and the polls are reflecting that.

Go vote. It's your duty as a citizen. If you don't vote, you really have no right to complain about the sitting president.

---

I expect when the election comes, Obama will still win, but he will not win by as much as is projected.

I think the McCain campaign shot themselves in the foot by picking Palin as a running mate. I know what they were trying to do, but the polls indicate it didn't work. Attempting to get the "common vote" failed when people realized Palin was stupider than 90% of them. They also completely failed to capture most of the female voters who would blindly vote for any female candidate (not a misogynist comment) when Palin revealed how backwards her views on women's rights are (in addition to pretty much everything else). When it comes down to it, though, a lot of Americans are racist. They're not going to vote for a black man. They're not going to vote for a "Muslim" (RETARDS: I KNOW HE'S A CHRISTIAN). They're going to vote for the rich, old white man. Black candidates have historically performed worse at the polls than pre-voting polls indicated. I think, short of a terrorist attack, Obama will still win.

They're both way too socialist for me, so I'm not sure who I'll vote for. Probably some third party candidate

I can't believe YouTube doesn't have a clip of the "3rd party candidate" scene from the Simpsons. EPIC FAIL

Im actually not voting because i hate the electoral college. I live in Texas, My vote is going to Mccaine, by a landslide, garunteed. Since i dont really get a choice in who my vote goes to, i refuse to vote. Man i really need to move to a more "divided" state.

Obama is not black. Hes something like 50% white, 46% arabic, 4% black. Go figure.

If the US can get out of Iraq/Afganistan does that mean that Britain can too?

Thats up to Britain's Prime Minister.

I believe since we are so close we will not back out unless the other does.

It will be a joint decision

Vote Obama!

There is my plug.

Most of all just vote. Voice your opinion. One vote CAN make a difference.

I've been voting since 1992 because my parents don't care. I always got two votes and always got to pick who they voted for. There was no greater pleasure than walking up to that voter's box and voting on my own for the first time in 2004. I was 18 and full of so much joy. Finally my opinion actually mattered.

If I was American, I would vote Obama, so if there is anyone willing to give up their vote, or doesn't care, vote for me, and vote Obama!

Though, I will say, I don't agree with some things Obama stands for, like his stance on abortion, etc. And I think the Americans need somethign different than what they've had, and Mccain is just like bush, so I think even though I am skeptical with Obama, you guys got to try him out, and take the risk, because you sure as hell won't get anywhere with the same old crap.

Gotta get your country back into shape, before you start looking at other things.

Umm doesn't Obama want to continue with Afghanistan? That's where the actual terrorists are.

yeah Rick, Obama wants to put more troops in Afganistan. Neither candidate is anti-war.

True, but one wants to keep us in a quagmire while the other one wants to get to the root of the problem.

I don't really like either of them honestly, but I voted for Mccain for two reasons:

I don't agree with punishing success
McCain has more experience

Both have severe flaws..

Obama will eventually withdraw troops

Mccain would continue never looking back ;)

Apparently 95% of blacks(oops, sorry african americans) voted for Obama, does that mean Mcain was the victim of racism?

In the same way that white people are racist for voting for a white president.

That's a new one.

At least the black community can't use the opposite of that quote anymore. Or is there people who thinks that Obama would just be a puppet president, manipulated by a anc...*Slaps himself awake*

Do you know how many Blacks are in the US? 36,657,280. Do you know how many votes? Way less. Average turnout is estimated at 64.1%. Black turnout was...13%. Yup. Let's say 80% of the 37m are eligible to vote - that's a very generous number. 3,812,357 Blacks voted. I don't think that's a very important demographic, especially considering probably half of those voters are in the south, which was almost totally red. Those votes were wasted.

Blacks did, however, vote for Obama more than their socioeconomic profile would predict for a white Democratic candidate. ~30% of Latinos voted for McCain, while only 5% of Blacks voted for him. Latinos are poorer than Blacks, overall. Race played a factor, yes.

Female voters did it for Obama. 56% of female voters voted for Obama, vs 49% of males for Obama (48% for McCain). Let's assume half of the estimated 136m who voted are female (male:female ratio is less than 1:1, due to a lower life expectancy for men, just 'cause we're too awesome). 38m women voted for Obama, vs 30m for McCain. In close polls, men statistically canceled each other out.

55% of white voters voted for McCain. I guess the ignorant white trash redneck vote is worth a lot. For the average cousin- noobism redneck, Obama claims to represent lower taxes and a better life.

Young people voted for Obama mostly. 54% of Whites 18-29 voted for Obama. 73% of those with an income under 15k voted for Obama. They're probably students, because otherwise they're too stupid to read. Best one? People making 200k and over were more likely to vote for Obama than McCain. PERSONAL INCOME. If they're married, 9/10 chance they're going to be hit by Obama's tax increase for high incomes. Obviously smart people voted for Obama. 58% of PHD's voted for Obama.

8% of White Republicans voted for Obama. BUT 14% of White Democrats voted for McCain. DEMOCRATS ARE RACIST TOO.

4% of people decided who to vote for on November 4th. This, despite the fact the US elections had like a 21 month run up.

BTW lots of stuff from the 4th paragraph on is totally contradicted by statistics. I just wanted a somewhat funny read. Paragraphs 1-3 are somewhat serious, though. It's pretty sad only 13% of Blacks voted. Way to live down your stereotypes.

But InuYasha as far as i'm aware in many previous elections there were only white candidates so it was either that or no vote.

*Either way it makes no difference to me...I don't care
