Whatever happened to the Diablo game? 6 replies
I used to play this game many many years ago. It seems to have faded into the internet graveyard.
I beleive it is diabled currently, if I was you, I would stick around or stop in again often, might just be worth your while ;)

I would also recommend emailing Ironsinew for a beta invite for his game, its the first post on the news thread, and I think it might be worth your time ;)
Diablo on NN? Don't remember anything about that.. but from what I've heard there's a Diablo III coming out..
it was around before I started here, but I think they sold the source code for that one
We still have the source code for it. There was a major bug that stumped Tom for quite some time. Then during "the void" Tom thought that he had lost the code. It was recently discovered that we do actually have the entire old game, however I'm not sure it will be re-surfacing. It seems like the requests for old games to return (Lemonade Stand) actually don't have much follow through from the users when we do it.

It was one of the best Web game I ever played 14 years ago. (ranked around the level of Archmage IMHO).
Even though it is old, I cannot think up of any other source of web RPG that is remotely close to the ones you have.
It was real time, fun and interactive. Not turn based, or ticked based. So its good for people who have time to spend. Nevertheless i can understand why the developers see no monetary value in this. It is hard to keep the players coming back constantly and daily as it isnt Tick or turn based.
