Hi i am new to the nations game never really got into it b4, could anyone give me some words of wisdom :)
Sure! Research in groups of four. This benefits you and your techies. Each four researches you do, your techies gain 1 research point in whatever you researched.
Always research in fours. xD
Beginning of game, simply get your land up. Research, buy troops, get land up. :) Late game is where it gets fun. This is how I ranked each round I played. xD Sounds simple enough.

Oh, always have three techies on hand. Economy alliances are good too. Don't worry too much about Offensive and Defensive Alliances.
Also, it's good to get involved with a clan, otherwise you'll be massed (Attacked a bunch of times) a lot.

Might need a bit more help with the clans thing. i used all my turns up lol on the wrong stuff guess il get more tho

I can't really read your font, but researching in 4's means like.. 4 military at a time, or 4 ref at a time.. or just research in 4's 8's 12's, etc..

Yeah, check out Sal's guide. Or go to the Game Manual under Misc. and click Goliath's manual. That's a good one too.
Groups of four means just research in multiples of four. It doesn't matter where. Most people don't even research espionage or medical. Just do them in multiples of four, wherever.

Easy fix for them not working in ie. Click "stop" then click the menu tab you want.
Soz about the font in second post i thought it was the same i used in the first, now i cant remember either of them :(. i have read through sals guide but find myself really poor how do i make money, at the minute im only gettin £300 per turn i use :(

K thx viper for that, at the minute im kinda unable to get more land as i cannot afford to buy a bigger army therefore cannot explore for any more land :(,
res ind for some easy helpfull cash :)
And If you're REALLY desperate and can't even afford ind, do residential. Which should get you near enough for some decent res, which should in turn get you land, which should in turn get you more money, which should in turn get you a successful nation.

You might want to set your tax rate to 15% if you haven't already. As Viper and Tina already pointed out, try to get as much industrial as you can right now to help with getting more funds. Just keep researching and exploring when you can. Eventually you'll get rolling.
