i think this has been talked about before but can anything be done about what time the round ends? i just calculated it and it will end on monday, november 12 at 1:40am est. how many other people in the est zone miss the end because of the time? can't anything be done about changing it around? i'm sorry if my questions were answered in a previous thread and i missed it.

thats completely off topic from Kill's original post
Kill, i live in the east time zone too. it kills me -.-
but i suppose its just a picked time that allows ppl all over the world to play, since this site is Universal.

its not like just Americans play it
& its not like just Australians play it

and warbeast -.-
i doubt ne thing would come up with our time zones, however it could be strategically damaging.
Due to the fact that others can know when a person sleeps and hit him when hes not awake.

and if it were to just check by time zones, i believe there is more than one state, even country for that matter in the same time zone. Many people would fall into that category. And whats to say we dont check your time zone and xxterminators?

There are people with worse end times. And it has been discussed and i think most ppl agree that it would be more "fair" to have the end of round change occasionally.

It should change by a hour every round :)

It already changes an hour each round I thought. The round lasts exactly 30 days and then after the round you have to wait 1 hour. During that 1 hour all you can see were the top 50 rankings and who won. After that hour it starts 30 days again. So based on that you would think you're gaining an hour every round.

It lasts for 30 days, then has 3 hours in between the rounds.

So it ends at 12:30 (for me) begings again at 3:30, lasts for 30 days and ends at 12:30..again.

Honestly i like the time its at, its not too late for me, but in all fairness it should change the end time.

I have no problems with the current time, but that's only because i'm in the same boat as Guild, I'm in centeral time zone, the round ends 12:30 which I can live with.. But I also would mind it changing by an hour every round, depending on how it works.. does it end an hour later or earlier? Also, does it keep changing so say, this round it'll end at 12, next 1, than 2, etc.

If it has 3 hour intervals, then wouldn't it change by three hours everytime...?

Its timed to last *exactly* 30 days with 3 hours between each round. Because the time between rounds is never changed, it always and begins at the same time, the only thing that changes is the day that it ends on.

Jan 1st - Feb 1st + 3 hrs = Feb 3:00 AM

Feb 1st 3:00 AM - March 1st 3:00 AM + 3hours = March 1st 6:00 AM Starting time.

Am I missing something here or am I just that tired?

And yes I know the months that don't have 30 days in them. Just example.

Yeah, it doesn't end at 3, it's ends at 12 or something.. apparently 12:30. :p

If you use the formula X (30day round ) + 1 hour +
3 hour intermission ----then the round would end an hour's difference ( forward ) each round.
After 24 rounds, it would be back at the present stop time, which for us in the East is 0130.

the length of the intermission could be shortened, but it has to be constant. I suppose you could work it, so you subtracted and hour from the 30 day formula, too, and achieve the same effect.

All I know is when I first began playing this game, rounds were ending at 11:35 pm, eastern time.

It was an example joe. =P

And yeah, jeb's formula would work for pushing the game forward each hour, expect instead of +1 hour, it would be +1-24.

Least i think thats how it would work...

To be completely specific, it was exactly 30 days, 2 minutes and 30 seconds long rounds. So eventually it would be changing time zones.

Since I had meant to adjust the lengths to rotate through 3 hours at a time originally, I have now corrected that mistake and is functioning. Refer to http://www.netnexus.com/forums/nations/nations.php?623213 for any other questions.

thank you tars for addressing this. i'm still not sure what the formula means to me in the est zone but at least you've done something about it.
