I have 1 doubt: is this a list of DannyFo's friends or is it supposed to be a list of the best players of Nations?


If it is an ELITE group it should get some extra names such as Ak47, wb and Sal (all in top most wins) or Sweetylang and Doalca (top most ranks).


This is a game and the ELITE members are those who play it the best, not the ones who spend more time in chat, forum or in kitchen!

D.E.M.O.N. stood for Diligent Elite Members of Nations, and later, Diligent Elite Members of Netnexus. All of these people have made valuable contributions to the game as a whole, as well as the community. Every year we have a group of people who think that DannyFO gets the final say, or that he's biased, or that these are only his friends. Open your eyes and read the list.

Every person on this list is basically a NetNexus Legend, and should be recognized in some small way, even if it's as simple as 5 letters in your siggy and your name in a list. This is more of a Hall of Fame than a "best player ever" award, and it often recognizes people from previous eras due to the fact that only 3 people are nominated per year.

There are PLENTY of people that deserve to be in this list, and regrettably, not all of them will make it: DoAlCa, Kazoany, Jing, AK, Sal, Pic, WB even! There will always be people who are left out, but the people that get in have earned their spot in NetNexus history.

Every year the same people make the same statements. They say that this is a list of my friends or that I lie about who had the most votes or that there are more people that deserve to be in it.

And every year I have to state the following things:

- I personally do NOT nominate anyone. I hold a completely unbiased position and just tally up the votes from the rest of the members.

- I personally wasn't even inducted into DEMON until 2006 even though I started this thing back in 2003.

- I started this NetNexus hall of Fame to remember a lot of people that deserve remembering and with the Voids that have happened I think it is important that we continue even inducting those that some people don't remember.

- As far as every one of the members being my friends...I honestly can't stand DeanoWhales. The word Hate even almost comes up. He destroyed several rounds that I had a chance at taking first. But regardless of that, he is iconic to Nations and Netnexus.

- If every year we inducted more than 3 people, then it wouldn't be much of an "elite" list. It would just be a list of Nations players. If you want a list of people that have ranked well, or ranked more times, or have had the highest tech, that list is under the Records section in Nations. So have at it. Personally I even think that 3 people a year is kind of stretching it with our low userbase.

- On top of all that, look at say the baseball hall of fame. In order to be considered for the HoF you have to have been retired for 5 or more years. So stop pissing and moaning whenever someone that no longer plays gets nominated. Even people that have died already get put into the hall of fame.

I realize that the voting system isn't the greatest thing in the world, but I do my best to make it fair and balanced, and if I didn't do it, no one would.

If you have any suggestions as to how we should do the voting, please email me at dannyfo@gmail.com and I will gladly read your emails and bring it up to the other DEMON members and even change the current policy. But as is, if all you are going to do is whine that you don't like the current system, but don't offer suggestions to make it better then I'm just going to brush you off.

And notice how I said to email it to me. Do not clutter THIS post that is being used to tally the votes.

Wow....I didn't realize the list had become so large. Danny, you may want to consider limiting it to 1 or 2 people per year. I'd hate to see this turn out to be a list of everyone that has been popular in Nations.

1. Warm beer
2. Cheeky kids
3. People that can't spell [It's Deano-Wales you muppet, Whales are big things that swim in the sea, Wales is a country]
