Nemesis? or Giggs? hahah

I made an "introduction post" when I started playing right after the reset happened, but I guesss it has been moved off of the forum page.

I am one of the original players of TL. I played TL basically when it first came out (or very close to it). I was here when netnexus was basically all about TL and nothing else.

The only person that I know that is even close to how old I am (in terms of length of TL play) is ShadyKnight, although I believe I am before his time as well (since the first time I noticed him was when clans were getting big; by then I had stopped playing seriously. But maybe he was a lurker on the forums like I was?).

When the forums for TL finally arrived, I never posted. I am a little embarrassed to say this, but I was just really shy and so never posted anything. And I did not fit in with the community that started forming because I was not as serious about TL as everyone else was (or seemed to be).

So yeah, basically I'm as old of an "oldbie" as you can get. I like to put it this way: I was here before items, clans, forums, additional games, additional servers (which disappeared again later it seems), dark corners, known exploits. And I was here before there were more expensive items other than "lev3 psi enhancer" and "lev3 energy shield."

I played TL on a 56k modem with the worst server/page-loading time imaginable. This was back in middle school (6-8th grade in the US) To give you an idea of age: I am now 21 and am in my third year in college.

So that's basically who I am. :)

Now, back to more clicking. Let's see if any of you "newbies" (har har har) can catch a truly seasoned TL player.

Well, I'm 21 in June and I've been playing since Grade 7. I've worked it out to almost 9 years. Like you said, I was a lurker. I didn't post because everybody already had their own network and I felt left out. My name was "Somebody Important" back then, which is saying something in itself. I was also a nerd in school, so I didn't feel like trying to be a "n00b"

As for showing up with the clans, that was when I decided to have a presence around here. The game is just that much more fun. Oh, and way to ruin the fantasy! LOL j/k

WOW... real oldy well i was the last player who was accepted in Clan Spyder [=CS=] after that they vaporized... and i really don't know that there's a forum in TL or any other games in netnexus so consider my self a noob.. till now :D

Shady when did u stop using "somebody important", i remember that name....

I stopped using Somebody Important as my character name before the 2001 void. After that I came back as Coop and ShadyKnight. Still had SOMEBODYI tho...

I had ffilteg before the getit account for quite a bit dont really remember how long tho.. my chars in game still go by the ffilteg alias

god I feel young, I have played sence I was in 6th grade it was 6 years ago now. so soon I will have been here for 7 years heh.

Well since we're on the subject of how long we've been around... I've been around since I was 11.

I've been here..5, 6 years? I don't remember when exactly, but I know I first played TL in 5th grade, which was in 2000 for me. Maybe it was 2001, though. Hmm.

Uhhh, I started playing TL about a year before I made this account.. so, you do the math.. alot of people say this, but I seriously did because I played in school so i never had time to do anything in the forums, just barely had 10 mins each day to play the game.. so when I got a computer, I made an account.

Doesn't mean anything, since I remember the old Netnexus layout.

I've been here since umm..when netnexus had only 45 registered users/mods/admins=P But that's not a good gauge cuz of the void. So I've been here since netnexus had a white background.

this week, i'm on vacation so I got plenty of time for playing TL but next week, I'll return to work and will not have much time on me to play so there will be your chance bro =)
