Hard to level <.< 22 replies
So like.. You level so fast, and healing is so expensive it's extremely hard to afford better armor /weapons.
So like.. Someone send KAPA some bucks.

don't heal just fight till u die and bank the money for armor and weapons
That'd take foreverrr
Start a new account, and don't level after Lieutenant until you have enough money for a Flak Cannon and a Goliath Mech Suit V2.
Preferably, get the armour first.

Why not just make more than one account that you play while you are dead?
because thats 2 ez lol
Umm... No. What I suggested would actually be faster, since you won't die as much, the healing costs will be less, and, therefore, you'll be making more money. Plus, you can probably get enough money to get the funds to transfer for better weapons/armour for your first account with your new one.
Games arn't supposed to be easy :

When playing a game, if I have the option to, I change to the hardest difficulty. Beating a game in a few weaks or whatever just isn't fun.[Added at 01/31/2008 15:33:39 by TinaMiaz]
*weeks
Games aren't supposed to be easy? Go play WoW. It's only got 10 million people who think easy is the entire point of a game...
I beg of you to go tell that to the people who explore the newly released content first.
Since I didn't play a noobism elf (lolol) first, I can't tell if you're being sarcastic. I find the game to be ridiculously easy. Don't get me wrong; it's fun, but it's pathetic how easy someone who is new can just breeze through everything. Anything less than red = zzzz.
Leveling isn't supposed to be hard... Especially since it's something every has to go through. And especially since alot of people have alts, remake characters, etc. You're supposed to get to high level to enjoy the end-game of things. The game isn't about 1-60 (1-70 now). It's about 60 / 70.
I wasn't being sarcastic. Have you done any raid dungeons at all? Not just any raid dungeons, but ones that are recently released. Everyone talks about how easy WoW is, and that's simply because they've never reached that high. Course everything that everyone has gone through a thousand times already is easy. You'd have to be really slow, or really bad, to not have it easy at that point.

It's harder end game, dondon.
My old guild spent 2 weeks trying to down Vashj in SSC until they finally got her. And it still takes a while, even with the best geared 25.
And btw:
"Anything less than red = zzzz." Thank you don.

I've heard to be in any decent raiding guild, you have to spend 4+ hours every night playing. I don't mind admitting that I spend that much time on the computer several days a week, but playing WoW or any game for that long? That's insane.
I guess you could call me a casual WoW player. Unless I have a change of heart, I doubt I'll be doing raids every night. Unfortunately, for casual players, WoW is very easy. First time playing and I got my mount right at 40 yesterday. Basically the biggest milestone before 70 is not even a challenge. Perhaps I'd enjoy the ease of leveling if I wanted to raid, but I don't.
BTW, don't get me wrong and think I want Blizz to take out end game content. An MMORPG should mostly be for people who want to sink a lot of time into it (not judging them at all; go ahead, do what you enjoy), but the casual players shouldn't be ignored. For example, what's the new expansion pack going to give ME? N-o-t-h-i-n-g. Oh, wait, I see a site that says characters will have new hairstyles, customizable body shape, and new dances. F***ING WIN. At least I'm not forced to buy it to play with the majority of players (like D2:LoD).

You like a different genre of MMO's then. Go play D2, WoW's not for you.
A raiding guild that raids every night is retarded. Noone would join it. People DO have lives outside WoW you know. The media and sterotypes only portray the idiot ones who neglect everything about themselves for WoW, which I have reason to believe is your thought of the people who are not your defined, "Casual Players". Personally, my old guild raided Sundays nights 8-whenever you had to leave (pm of course and these were 25-man raids), Teusdays (10-man Raids), and Thursday (25-man continuations). On progression they may have added a day and it wasn't manditory to show up.
Plus, remember, there are different types of guilds. You can join small guilds that are just friendly and dont raid much (I think you'd like this). There are dedicated Player vs Player guilds that only focus on doing premade battlegrounds. And the heavy-duty raiding guilds which is what I described above, but more or less by a few margins.
And regarding to your thoughts on the expansion, I know that I play WoW for content. So far, they've said there will be several completely new areas, new dungeons, new raids, and a level cap increase of 80, plus a few other minor details. First off, note they haven't even said release yet, which probably won't be until sometime late next year or the year after? Imagine how much stuff they can add. A new "Hero-Class" to play? That seems interesting, why not? Anyway, what I'm getting at is that I play for content. I enjoy exploring the new areas, doing new quests that I have never done before, playing with new skills I've never used before. In D2, you rush, do baal runs and other runs for mf gear, then make other characters blah blah blah. I remember playing D2. Baal Runs to level 87, then it took a year to get to level 99 if you played 24/7.
It depends on your "type" of MMO.
Dondon, I hope you understand what I'm saying. And if you actually spent the time to read all this, you sir, are a moron. I feel dumber just have writing all of this. :P <3 Red
Oh and note: When you started playing, you started playing AFTER the 2.3 patch, I'm pretty sure.
2.3 patch made levelling from 10-60 40-50% easier than it was before. Just letting you know.

Gah. Okay, I guess I should respond.
I don't *dislike* WoW. It's immensely fun to play, but not much of a challenge unless I get to the end game content. I am not complaining about that, merely saying I wish there was more content added for solo players.
I don't think people who raid in WoW are losers. I know quite a few people who used to do raids (not sure about my terminology when I'm talking about pre-TBC; please don't waste time correcting me - idc) and know they were functioning people. Like I said, I spend a lot of time on the computer, but I could never spend it all playing WoW. Therefore, I can't see myself doing raids (let's not even talk about gear). Perhaps a casual guild.
What I'm saying is I like WoW. It's fun. Sure, maybe it's not the perfect MMORPG for me, but I'm having fun with it. I am merely lamenting the lack of challenges available to me as I level up.
I played D2 and it was retardedly easy. But I still played it. I don't quit a game I like just because it's easy or there's a lack of content (SEVERE in D2's case).:P I quit it when I'm not having fun, and that's not happened yet with WoW.

Instructions: fill in the blanks and make everything fit the thesis that should be evident.:P
xD Just keep going at it til you reach BC. Maybe the content will please you or be challenging enough for you.
:)
:)
Hah, I read all of this just because there was actually some intelligence involved. The grammar attracted me aswell.
I'd like to thank my original post for bring activity back to the TL forum. 10 posts/day!
I'd like to get back on TL topic.
but before i do that.. HI KAPA! :)
Now, I think it's hard to level, but I like a challenge. Challenge = Good.

Need I point out the obvious? :)
If you really want things to be hard, level in zones that are 4-5 levels too high for you. You'll just find you're wasting your time, though.

The problem with that is it just takes way longer to kill stuff. Plus it forces you to be hyper attentive when pulling. I prefer just engaging 2 or 3 enemies my level and challenging myself with not needing to heal or something.:)
Anyway, back to TL...
Hmm...
Is Vulture Mech worth the money?
I've always done Adv -> Firebat -> Vulture -> Goliath -> transfer money for something good.:)
