Need computer help! 8 replies
Does anyone know anything about converting a MAC machine into a Windows machine? Blake brought up that I could probably just erase the HD and install Windows, but I assume it would be harder than that if it is possible at all. Any help would be appreciated.
If you've got one of those new intel macs you can just install windows and partition off a part of your hard drive (I've never done it personally but I know it can be done)
Otherwise... you'll probably need some sort of virtual machine that's all clunky and slow :(

Yeah it has an Intel Xeon processor
Oh, and how would I go about partitioning it? I'm a noob when it comes to that.
If you've got leopard you can just go into your utilities folder and open the program Boot Camp.

After you follow the steps (gotta provide your own copy of Windows unfortunately) just hold down the option key and restart to choose what OS you want to load up in.
That should work! I'm not sure how to partition the hard drive but I'm sure it prompts you in one of the steps... probably

It leaves all your Mac data in place while it creates a separate partition on your drive for Windows, and then begins the installation process. Boot Camp includes a PDF setup guide, so you can refer to it as you go.
Seems like it will take care of the partition for you, like it says on there :)

Why would you insult your Mac by installing Windows?
Windows is bugged enough without putting it on a system it is not designed for.

I haven't seen a game that supports Macs...
