Okay so i decided to set up Static IP addresses today for all my computers/ both xbox 360's which ended up being 10x the hastle it should of been, and now my computer's internet is going slower actually, i did so many processes and steps that its all configured right,(better be ffs) but is there certain ports i should be "single port forwarding" to my computer? or maybe something i even missed in editiing like IE it self? cause i did manually punch the numbers in through internet connection> properties> TPC/IP> Use the Following.

anyone think they know a solution? or why its messin with me/ need more details just ask

Wow man, that was awesome. Thanks for writing back, and to answer haha yes i do want to host server's but i'm not a jew XD.. in gow2 on xbox360 its so fail, setting up a static ip with ports forwarded basically is bridging host legally.. So that would be win :P but i probably will revert back, i know it's still possible to forward them with DHCP, but i was reading on forums that for best play n stuff on xbox its static the way to go.. but it really is a pain in the ass to set up

Bosnian035 I think you should start a wiki for netnexus =P

Port Forwarding is a pain sometimes as it leaves a hole in your router firewall.

Also always try and get the firmware for your router. Could fix a number of things.

Firmware is the software a router uses. Most routers called it Firmware Version. You can usually find these patches on your manufacturers’ website. Just make sure you upload the specific firmware to your router.

Firmware is not quite the same as software because its the program neccessary for that peice of hardware to work at all. Upgrading it is a massive pain, if you can even find an update for it, and if you screw it up in most cases you can never use that peice of hardware again.

That might not be true of routers though, since I have only done firmware changes on hard drives.
