Thought about it, but I wasn't too into the first one. So I figured it wouldn't be much different for me (hopefully without all of the buggy issues I experienced in BL1).
I did buy that XCOM: Unknown Enemy game, though.

BL2 does get kind of repetitive, but if you keep doing the missions they do get progressingly harder. Weapons do get better and better, so the average stuff you come across is pretty easy to kill once you get to a certain point (being bullymongs (sp), regular bandit areas). I'm on this one mission now though, my buddy and I were playing for over an hour and didn't finish it. Decided to run back to the start of it to save so it didn't load us up into a mass of bandits lol.
It's definately not a bad game, but like I said, it does get kind of repetitive. Some open world games you can kind of have fun just running around, exploring and whatnot.. this game only seems fun if you're doing the missions. There are a few glitchy spots where your charactor gets stuck and can't move, but that's how it goes with most open world games. I had similar problems on Oblivion and Skyrim. Not the best game, but not bad either. I'd probably rate it a 6-7/10....
As for BF3, I haven't gotten much into that one.. I played a few missions on the regular story (borrowed it from a friend so if I wanted to play online it would've been like $9.99 for access, which is stupid). It was confusing going from MW3 to BF3, the controls and I just don't seem to agree.. however it didn't seem like a bad game. From what I did play, I'd probably rate BF3 a 7-8/10.

I haven't played it. I demand you mail me your copy, then go and buy a new one.
The story mode of BF3 is so junk, but no ones cares, the online is the best ever, by a far margin, way better than COD, or MOD, or HALO.
