Available in-game now are some tips to help new and old users alike. Below is the list of all tips, and feel free to suggest some others you would like to see added.

$tip[1] = "You can change your tax rate in the Government options to generate extra revenue, but don't set it too high or your nation may react badly!";
$tip[2] = "All military units consume a certain amount of food and oil, plan ahead to support them by researching more Refinery and Agriculture.";
$tip[3] = "Income is proportional to your population.";
$tip[4] = "Research industrial technology to earn more money per population.";
$tip[5] = "Research medical technology to increase food and oil production rate in conjunction with Refinery and Agriculture.";
$tip[6] = "Research espionage to protect your nation from enemy spies, and improve your own.";
$tip[7] = "If you have more land, your population can increase.";
$tip[8] = "Research in fours to be the most help for your technological allies.";
$tip[9] = "The more land and money you have, the more you'll lose if someone breaks through your defenses.";
$tip[10] = "Don't waste your money, you'll be happy you have it later in the round!";
$tip[11] = "Research residential technology to increase your population quickly.";
$tip[12] = "You can only have as much as land as your military strength can support.";
$tip[13] = "Making alliances with other nations allows your nation to grow with theirs.";
$tip[14] = "Looking for someone to attack? Check the current rankings to find players around your size!";
$tip[15] = "Offense and Defense increase your attack/defense power, but at the cost of money per turn. So be careful!";

Yes, I left it in the code / array format because I'm lazy, get over it ;)

I think that's a nice idea. You shouldnt number the tips tho.

^Good question, from what i have personally have seen (unless its changed) off/def doesnt help your attack power at all.

Lol, you can have 1k defense, and someone with 1/2 your troops and 0 offense could break through.

Anyways, is it only used in mop ups, that might be why ive never encountered any benefit.

Nah, I like this feature though. Should give new players the basic insight if there is nobody around to help. Awesome that we can disable it too.

Please remember, this is a thread to contribute and/or edit current tips, not to discuss if you believe they are true or false. I wrote them, I'm sure they're true ;)

I actually wouldnt mind having off/def help out in a visible way, so by all means, recode that portion to prove me wrong, i really dont mind.

Maybe something about having more land = more cash, but requires more agri/ref to be stable...which gives 0 tech.

I think alot of new players end up putting too much research on agri and ref.
