I still think the cutting in half and 20 is better than 55 or 75. He should make one that like cuts their attk by 2/3 and does 30 def.

or add an energy shield to the goliath mech v2... 75 armor + 1/2 damage. call is goliath mech v2 w/ energy shield :)

You sure about that? Did you test on powerhits or what?

And did you buy the 55 armor one or just the 75 armor one? Can anyone confirm this?

Dont buy new armors. The lvl 3 is better right now.

Lieutenant Colonel hits you with Flak Cannon for 150.
You hit the DrakenRahl =GoW= with your Portable Yamato Gun for 274.

Thats with him having the most expensive armor.

Then he brought his account same rank with lvl 3 and i was hitting 23's and 30's.

So then it's definatley a bug.

Don't know if it's a bug, or more or less that lvl3 is just better armor still.

I'm using the Goliath Mech Suite V2 for a while now to test it out.

Whoops, forgot to add the "Goliath" tag to the "200" damage from level 7 Overmind. Just want to remind you all that this 200 was done with the Goliath armor on, NOT the level 3 energy shield. (sorry, my formatting makes it look like it attacked me again with 22 less damage all of a sudden, which is NOT what happened).

Please ignore the comment about things being "strange", for now at least.

Also note that I did not yet include data for the Level 9 overmind (level 7 is in the post) and the level 3 rogue battlecruiser. If anyone finds these out, please post them.

Remember, these are for Lev3 energy shield versus the goliath suite.

I don't think many people can help you with your calculations right now considering that the majority of them are just too poor to buy the new stuff. I'm ranked 14th in experience and I still don't have enough money for Goliath Mech Suite V2 after blowing 9.5million on a Flak Cannon.

Anyhow, was noting down numbers after reading what you did. I met two different Level 8 Overminds in succession.

The Level 8 Overmind hits you with Overpowering Psychic Attack for 530.

The Level 8 Overmind hits you with Overpowering Psychic Attack for 260.

The second one seems to be consistent with your data for overminds. But the majority of the Overminds I meet seem to deal dmg in the range of 500+.

Unless the new armours cut dmg by half like what the Lvl 3 energy shield does, there is no way I'm spending more money on an armour that is useless against overminds who deal 530 dmg.

The Source didn't tell me in chat that the new armour does cut down half the damage so I won't be taking Liquid's word for it. I'll only believe what I see for myself in the shops and the description of the new armours does not state "Absorbs 1/2 damage from all attacks" anywhere.

I'm currently using Lvl 3 energy shield anyways. Forgot to mention that.

Okay, I just figured out why one overmind dealt me 530dmg but the other overmind dealt me only 260dmg.

I was trying to run from the first and I went ahead to attack the second. It appears that if that you get hit while you are trying to run, your armour isn't taken into consideration.

So Lvl 8 Overminds deal about 530-540 in base damage.

They do absorb half damage :)

Unfortunately only one hit, but that's all there was :P I have the Goliath Mech Suit V2

Ok, we tested it with DrakenRahl.

We both have Flak Cannon. He has the Adamite Vest. I hit him for ~70-80 damage.

When I had energy shield, I was hit for 100+
When I got Goliath I was hit for a bit lower than I hit him (on average).

However, the difference betweem Goliath and Adamite is hardly noticeable. In my opinion it would be a bit more worth it if adamite blocked, say, 60% damage and goliath - 70% or 75%. You would assume to get more of an effect for such great costs (1.5 million and 9 million compared to 10000 for energy shield), like it is with the weapons. Also, it would be nice to have the block percentage in the description. Of course, this is only my opinion and only a preposition so please don't go flaming me for how much my ideas suck and how they are not worth the effort of the admin(s).

Oh yes, I forgot to say. I know that the difference between the armors is great when fighting weak monsters. But with the same block percentages, as the monster/opponent damage grows, the difference fades.

So, Adamite or Lvl 3 energy?

I have come to a conclusion that by all means Goliath > Adamite > Energy Shield

Whether it's worth the money is a different question though.
