Hello everyone. I am new to this game.
I was just wondering how you guys got through the rank of a specialist. I have a laser pistol and advanced combat armour, but I keep on getting killed in the wasteland. There has not been a single battle that I have won in the past 2 hours.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

You have to stay at a rank and just keep building up credits, then go promote and buy better gear. Try to better your gear atleast every other rank. Fights are harder after each rank.
I see. Thanks. The problem I am running into so far is that I do not have enough credits at all. So far, I have accumulated 89 dollars, which is a far cry from a new weapon. I have been trying to get more credits by running from battle and getting VISA cards, but still it does not work out too well.
Is this basically a grind then? If so, I guess it is just a long hard road. Thanks for your help.

When you start, stay at that lvl for a while. Slowly gather up enough credits for armour first. Armour is more important than weapons in the beginning. Once you get around the third-fourth highest armour from the armoury promote. Continue this strategy until you have the highest armour, while getting a better weapon every now and then.

Find out what you can and can't kill by using "Attack" rather than "Until Death." Anything that does less damage to you and has less life should be safe to kill. Bank after every kill or credit card, so that if you die, you won't lose any money. Also, do not heal, as you will be restored to full life upon resurrection. It's a very slow way to make money, but it's also the only way.

Oh, well, thanks very much for the offer. Are you sure that is all right though? Money making is very difficult in this game and I do not want to trouble you too much. You guys have all helped me out a lot.

Also, another question. I read somewhere on the forum that Erika can lead you to the contraband if you propose to her. Is there a specific order to do it? I tried just proposing to her, but I get kicked every time, for the past 5 times.

EDIT 2: I finally managed to get Corporal with a Siege Tank Armour! Thanks for the help guys. Now to save up for a gun better than the laser pistol.Also, another question. I read somewhere on the forum that Erika can lead you to the contraband if you propose to her. Is there a specific order to do it? I tried just proposing to her, but I get kicked every time, for the past 5 times.

EDIT 3: Found the contraband at last. Wow, it seems that there are VIP only weapons.
Just keep proposing to her. When you get kicked in the nads, bank all your credits and just fight in the wastelands until you die. Once you are revived, grab your credits out of the bank and go propose to her again. Continue this until she lets you in.
I have ~384 million, so I can spare some.;)

Oh, By the way, don't ever heal. You lose way more credits than you make and you'll eventually be broke and back to dieing then fighting again.
Just bank all your credits right before you're about to die, then fight it out. It definatly takes some patience. Once your rank gets high enough though, you'll get to train for a while before you die.

Don't worry about it! I'd rather have zero credits and see new players actually play the game, than have billions of credits and be #1. I'm still on the only TL hall of fame page that matters, anyway.=P
