I'm melee class and I only deal 1 point of damage to the Drifter with the best available weapon.
More equipment and areas will be added shortly.
Masterfully, you attack the Drifter with your Steel Longblade to inflict 30 points of damage with a critical strike! As a result, the Drifter's hit points have been reduced to 34
In an outbreak of rage, the Drifter turns and charges at you inflicting 0 points of damage.
That was a bad hit, btw... I've done... 54 damage, I think, on a crit? Dwarf Gladiator ftw...
Do remember that the best melee weapon isn't the iron longsword, but that the Drifter does randomly drop his weapon. :) I'd suggest using pixie fire to kill him until he drops, and then easily killing him, since he can't hurt you. *evil grin*

Close, But no Cigar, They are different entities, the Highwayman and his Long Edge will be in the upcoming desert area.

If you REALLY want to, I can give you the exact stats that the old highwayman had, including the exp, gold, attack, defence, semi-hidden id number... :)
But I don't think most people really care that I keep around my old HDs for years and years after the websites have been shut down.

That reminds me of the time when Griffion tipped me off when Lotp tweaked the drop rate of the highwayman to 1:1 for an afternoon and it was a field day for those in the know.
Damn it..I'll never farm up the cursed longbow unless things like this start happening on a more regular basis.

Maybe some of the useless drops can serve a purpose.
1000 rats tooth + 1000 hilt + 1 uber rare item for a uber weapon that not even the shops sell.
It'll make people save their crap instead of selling them off.

You DO realize that there's an inventory max of 15 items, unless RG/TS has changed things drastically in the past day, right? :)
