I know lots of you have done this before.. I even remember lots of reasons off the top of my head! eg. Hehe's name is so because he's a funny guy etc.
Well since there's new players recently it's nice to know why the picked their Names and Nations

I am a creative story writer.
Wulf Waters is the name of my character.
Sharakai is the name of a nation i created just before i joined Nations for my Creative writting.

I was outta idea for nicks, and I remember it being a long and tired day. So when I found that the site was up and running since the void, all I wanted was to start anew and browse the new NN. Reluctant to use too much brain power, I decided to choose a name from the thing that had my attention then, and apparently it was the rhythm of a salsa song. Thus, Beat.

The whole thing started when I first made an account for Terran Legacy. At the time, I had no forum account and did not have one for a long while.
I'm french, I was like...13 years old and NEVER thought i'd stay here so long, so I wanted to make a quick account that didnt actually mean anything. I first wrote in "Salut" which means "Hi". It was taken. I wrote "Salute" which is a word most of you have already seen. It was taken. I added an "e" and came up with Salutee. Years later, Aimee was on a name changing rush so I changed Salutee to Sal and there you have it :)

I forgot to talk about my Nation's name..hahSal of Puppet Palace.
I NEVER changed my nation's name...dunno why. I got the idea because I was listening to Master of Puppets from Metallica while creating my Nation.
I came here many years ago for TL, I choose Stoutn due to the fact its a combination of my last and first name and was a login name for my school account. I liked it very much indeed and use it for almost ever game and such I play.
I came to nations not too long after TL and have been here ever since. Many of you may have known me and many of you may not, but now you all know somewhat where I come from.

Pic Is my original name from 1995-6 when I first used the net – I either go by it or use my real name when I’m online – Mike Walchuk. (I have never used another name).
Anyway, I wanted a name that was still “me”. So three things were in it:

My first name was TheDirty_1 of POOPSHOOT because I didn't care then and was first being shown the game. This name (WeaponX) came from some account I always used to see in the user search, Weapon_X. X-raTed (my nation name) came from a former squad in X.

I picked GreenArrow as my name because he is my favorite comic book hero. That and my favorite color is green. My Nation name is Star City because that is where the GreenArrow is from.

Laguna is from FF8, and Cid is my surname. Since I was 12, it sounded like a good name. And owell, that name stuck.
Ordallia is a kingdom from FFTactics, my favourite game, and the kingdom I 'control' at a forum/game I frequent since 2003 too.

Scott(Superman) and I derived the name "sideo" from the name "Desideo", and "Orsideo", which I got from a character in the book "The Talismans of Shannara" from the Shannara series by the magnificient Terry Brooks.
The character, I believe, was an Elven general, though, I cannot remember his exact name.
Other self-made variations of the name are:
- Desideus
- Desidileus
- Desididilioseus
And so on...

My name started way back when in World at Ruins which is how I found my way to Netnexus. After I showed up here I started playing Diablo+ and World at Ruins 2 and there was also some game called Terran Legacy but who cares about that. Then after awhile came along Nations Beta which I didn't make it in to so I started playing after the beta ended with the same name I started with long long ago.
Blakes username is the name of a planet from Starcraft lolz..
My name is plain and simple. My user name is Chronaco which I got it from a plant called weed. Plain and simple. But that weed name is Chronic. So I used the first part Chron and started jotting ideas down for the ending. Aco sounded good at the time.

When I first started playing Nations, I was really into a card game called Magic: the Gathering... some of you here might know that...
Glory is a card in that game that was my favourite...and it just seemed appropriate at the time to use it from something to do with nations at war...becuase we all want Glory right?? :P or something stupid like that... :)

umm my original name was crim which came from .hacksign but was banned for some reason so I started this one to replace it. and my nation name dragon's spine is from a book I used to read during my freshman year in highschool.

I chose Victor_Troska because Victor Troska is a character from Operation Flashpoint and since this is a wargame and whatnot, I chose his name.
That and I used it for the old MSN Chat RP days.
Umm, Angara is the name of the continent on Golden Sun, and I was into the game at one point and changed my nation's name to that.
So yeah, that's where my stuff came from.
