danny...isnt it every year that new people become apart of DEMON? what happened to 08? =O

lol Well in 2008 no current members messaged me of any names they thought were worthy of joining DEMON and I was working 12 hour days the whole month of September so I didn't have a chance to ask anyone. So also if any members feel that someone should be inducted for the year 2008, please let me know. Remember there is a max of only 3 people per year aloud into the elite group.

I dont see how it wouldnt hold up in court, youre required to agree to it prior to sign up, it "should" be considered a legally binding contract.

I understand that obviously they can moderate whatever they find necessary I was just saying it was a poor decision, especially since I've never seen a post deleted even if it contains profanity.

I think BC was just jealous I added my name to the list even though I wasn't in it yet he actually is in it and didn't think I deserved it.

We delete posts every day TC, But users can't see them. I know that I personally will give anyone a warning for swearing in the forums if they bypass the filter.

Well whenever I get a warning for swearing I can still find the post.

The entire problem with situations such as this is that moderators are rarely held accountable for their actions by site admins. A site will quickly lose popularity if mods just ban for petty personal reasons. That's why people who care about the site's popularity - the admins who own the site and actually care about it - need to be active, as well as in control of those they trust to keep the site's rules enforced. The sad fact is most mods care more about asserting their power than maintaining the site. Yes, there have been some good mods in the past, such as Korgrath, Vodka, etc. But they're gone. Warning a user for actions which do not even begin to violate the site's established rules is bad form on a mod's part. I can't be entirely sure if TC received a warning for his fake list, but that does nothing to invalidate my above message. Quit power trippin' kthx

And as far as deleting posts, there is no where that says we can not delete posts that we find irrelevant (spam) or misleading (TC's fake list) during a thread.
